Job Description:
The is responsible for supporting quality control laboratory activities including sampling, testing, in-process checks, and documentation to ensure raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meet defined quality standards and comply with GMP, GLP, safety, and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical & chemicals manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sampling & Laboratory Testing
• Assist in sampling of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods as per SOP
• Support routine chemical and/or microbiological testing under supervision
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and test samples for analysis
• Record observations and test results accurately
Quality Control & Compliance
• Follow SOPs, GMP, GLP, and safety guidelines during QC operations
• Perform in-process quality checks and report abnormalities
• Identify deviations or out-of-specification results and inform seniors
Laboratory Operations
• Assist in handling laboratory instruments and equipment
• Support routine calibration and maintenance activities
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the QC laboratory
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain QC test records, registers, and reports
• Ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance
• Maintain sample retention and labeling records
Coordination
• Coordinate with production and QA teams for sampling and testing schedules
• Support timely release of materials based on QC status
Safety & Housekeeping
• Follow EHS and laboratory safety norms, including PPE usage
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and samples
Skills Required
• Basic knowledge of QC laboratory practices
• Understanding of GMP, GLP, and documentation
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good learning attitude and teamwork
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office)
